Kimberly Binning Chevlin
Lisa Van Ryzin, MSN, RN
Kimberly has been a teacher at MVUSD since 1997 and a part of MEA since 1999. Since becoming President in 2019 Kimberly has dedicated her time to making sure educators rights and desires are being held to a highest standard. Her goals as President of MEA
are to advocate on the behalf of our members . To promote unity and inclusion among educators of all levels, and to continue the work of the organizing committee to establish a strong line of communication with our members .
Lisa began as a site rep and quickly ascended the ranks to become our organizing chair. And from that point, there was no looking back as Lisa has proven time and again her passion for the membership of MEA. She has since stepped up to become our bargaining chair and Vice President. She is currently a 7th math teacher, at Dorothy McElhinney Middle School
Brittany was raised here in Murrieta and is a product of our schools. Growing up, she was passionate about two things: leadership and babies (hence her degree). She graduated from ASU with a BA in Early Childhood Education. She has been an educator for over 8 years. Brittany taught Kindergarten in Arizona for 5 years before returning back to Murrieta to raise her own family. She subbed for MVUSD for 2 years before accepting a 2nd grade position at Rail Ranch Elementary. She is now a 1st grade teacher at Monte Vista Elementary School. As the new MEA secretary she would like to thank you for allowing her the opportunity to serve the members of this wonderful union.
Lisa has been a credentialed school nurse for MVUSD for the past 18 years. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science from Point Loma Nazarene University in 1995. She then went to San Diego State University to receive her Master of Science in Nursing, Community Health, and School Health, and a Health Services credential. She has been the MEA treasurer since 2017.
Elementary School Director
Beth grew up and went to school in different parts of Orange County and LA County. She graduated from UCLA and earned her teaching credential at CSULB, and later received her MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University. She became a National Board Certified Teacher (Literacy: Reading-Language Arts/Early and Middle Childhood) in 2013. Beths first teaching job was in ABC Unified School District, which is in LA County. She taught in the Perris Elementary District for five years, and then began teaching at Avaxat Elementary here in Murrieta in 1996. Beth Is now at E. Hale Curran Elementary.
Middle School Director
Julie received her Master's Degree and Teaching Credential from Azusa Pacific University. In 2016, She completed my Administration Credential as well as a Single Subject Matter in Math Credential.
She have worked in education for over 21 years and has taught 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade.
Julie has been married for 28 years. They have three children, Jaclyn, Johnny, and Lexi.
Her hobbies include camping with her family, sewing, martial arts (4th degree Blackbelt in Taekwondo), Angels baseball, and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.
High School Director
Brad has worked for MVUSD for the past 17 years. He is currently at Vista Murrieta High School teaching Expo IV, English II, and Cinema as Lit. He is in his second year as High School Director for MEA.
Sp Ed. Director
Heidi began working in Murrieta in 2003. She was a Resource Specialist at Warm Springs Middle School for 7 years before taking the leap to High School in 2010. "Working at Murrieta High School has been incredibly rewarding as I have grown as a person, and a teacher.
I can honestly say, I love my job!"

Cynthia is a Speech and Language Pathologist at Antelope Hills Elementary. She has worked for MVUSD since 2011. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 1995. She received her Master of Arts degree in Communication Disorders and her Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential from California State University, Fullerton in 2011. She has been the Specialized Student Support Personnel director for MEA since 2019.
